The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes running parallel to the cardiovascular system — carrying lymph fluid containing white blood cells, proteins, and cellular waste from tissues back to the bloodstream. Unlike blood, lymph moves through the system entirely by external forces: muscle contractions, breathing (diaphragm movement), and manual manipulation.
